What is Graffiti?

Graffiti is a writing or drawing that is sketched on a wall or other surface, often without the knowledge or permission of the owner of the building being scratched and in public view. Such doodles have existed since ancient times including in the Egyptian, Greek, and Roman civilizations. In modern times, paint (especially spray type) and marker pens have become the most common materials used for such scribbling.
